There are variety of AI applications, which range from telephone enquiry to face biometrics etc. No doubt the hottest talk in the town goes to chatGPT, as the number of active subscribers increase from 1 million when launched in Nov 2022 to 100 millions in just two months’ time. Its launch causes great impacts to many sectors.
When communicating with the ChatGPT, and if you frame a question correctly the system will provide you an essay type answer in a very short moment based on the abundance of information available. Is this what we expect our college graduate trained with such ability and skills? Are these the training that we will be providing? The ChatGPT is to replace students’ learning, or just another powerful tool in learning?
Nowadays, kids in kindergartens learn through game and group activities. Children with good social relationship can usually attain college education, according to some reports.
The introduction of chatGPT reinforces our core values that in addition to training our kids with academic knowledge and social skills, we will stimulate them further curiosity in raising questions. Nourishing our kids with good character, with loving cares and mutual supports becoming one of our priorities. It is glad to see that each morning teachers greeting parents and kids entering the kindergarten, sharing their happiness and burdens that might have. Our teachers start praying for those kids not able to join classes at classrooms, singing more songs about Jesus’ love, so as to fill the campus with warm and loving care. “If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don’t love, I’m nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate.” （1 Corinthians 13:1) With Jesus scarifying love we are able to restore our relationship with our Heavenly Father. When kids are brought up with love, they will be loving and caring people that the world should be.
